Modern house in Hampton
DATE: May 2018
BUDGET: £25,000
Built 10 years, this house required a redesign of the ground floor layout and extension to rear.
THE BRIEF
The brief included to design a new kitchen and to redecorate the complete house.

I ACHIEVED THIS BY
I worked with the architects to move the dining room to the front of the house by knocking through a partition wall between kitchen and dining room; created a utility room; and added an extension at the rear to open up the sitting room to the garden. A range of mid tone colours provided a modern and contemporary open-plan feel to what had previously been a series of small and dark rooms; I also added mid-tone floor tiles to create length and space to the visual.

WHAT THE CLIENT SAID
"I recently had the whole downstairs of my house redesigned and Alison was involved at every stage, from kitchen planning to choosing the lighting, doors, decoration and furniture, and the most amazing flooring.
"I now have colours that flow from room to room, creating such a sense of light and space.
"Alison is so good at listening and she has interpreted my taste beautifully.
"She also made the whole process so easy for me and such a pleasure; she was approachable at all times, coordinated smoothly with the builders, and nothing was ever too much trouble. With her help I am now working my way through the rest of the house.
"I cannot recommend Alison highly enough. I am delighted with the work she has done for me. Whenever I need anything updated in the house, she is the person I turn to."
